A major public sector agency is seeking an experienced finance professional to support their advisory team in a key business support role. Sitting within the Group Finance function of a large division, this role plays a central part in managing financial controls, coordinating budgets, and supporting financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate budgets across Operational categories
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and monitor cash positions
• Coordinate asset reporting and provide end-of-month and year-end financial reporting
• Work across various funding sources and frameworks, including My Outcomes
• Liaise with the Department of Treasury and internal business and finance teams
• Utilise Prime Treasury and Excel to perform detailed financial analysis and reporting

You’ll need to bring:

• 5+ years in financial control, budgeting, or business support roles
• Proven experience within NSW Government finance functions or a similar public sector environment
• Strong proficiency in Prime Treasury and Excel (Power BI exposure desirable)
• A structured and detail-oriented working style
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
