THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a global fast-moving business with over 1000 staff here in Australia across multiple sites. They have a warm, friendly and high performing culture and are seeking an payroll coordinator to join their team to cover a period of leave in the team. Based in Mascot with on-site parking available!

THE ROLE
Reporting into a Payroll Manager you will support the accurate and timely payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles, covering approx. 550+ employees. Using Preceda, you will process payroll end-to-end, maintain employee records, ensure compliance with wages, superannuation, deductions, and leave entitlements. The role also involves generating General Ledger reports, responding to payroll queries, and liaising with HR and the HR Coordinator on matters such as workers’ compensation. This is a high-volume, deadline-driven environment that requires strong attention to detail, resilience, and a collaborative mindset.

This is a short-term 10-week temp role to cover a period of absence in the team. Please only apply for this role if you are available to work from 11th of August to 17th of October 2025.

THE CRITERIA
To be successful in this temporary contract you will bring end-to-end, award-based Payroll experience within Australia. Experience in medium to high-volume environments, particularly with employers of 200+ staff, is highly regarded. Proficiency in interpreting EBAs, awards, and relevant legislation is essential, along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with Ascender Preceda and Kronos T&A systems will be advantageous.
Strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure are also critical.
