The Organisation
Lotus People are pleased to be partnering with a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation providing early childhood services across New South Wales. This organisation is known for its inclusive, community-centred approach and a genuinely collaborative working culture.
The Role
This is a short-term role to provide cover during annual leave. You will be stepping into a well-established payroll function, taking full ownership of the fortnightly payroll cycle and supporting a direct report. You’ll receive a handover and provide a handover at the end of this assignment. This position is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys a hands-on role with autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Full end-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll for a multi-site workforce
- Supervision and support of a direct report
- Responding to payroll-related queries across the organisation
- Possible involvement in end-of-financial-year tasks (ATO statements, earnings summaries)
- Liaising with stakeholders across centers and head office
- Maintaining compliance and accuracy in payroll processes
- Utilising Dayforce (formerly Preceda)
The Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced payroll professional with strong knowledge of NSW payroll processes. You may have held a senior payroll position or a previous managerial role. While formal leadership experience is not essential, you’ll be confident in guiding and supporting others. You’ll also thrive in a multi-site environment and bring a calm, detailed and people-focused approach to your work.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing (NSW-specific knowledge essential)
- Ability to work with and support a direct report
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Experience using large payroll systems such as Dayforce, Chris21 or SAP SuccessFactors
- Previous exposure to multi-site or not-for-profit environments highly regarded
OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS
At Lotus People, we are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply and will ensure a fair and equitable recruitment process.
Every application we receive is reviewed by a real person, never by AI. If your experience aligns with the requirements of the role, a consultant will be in touch within 2–3 business days for an initial phone screen. Shortlisted
candidates will then proceed to a virtual interview with the consultant managing the role.
Due to the volume of applications and the specific nature of our briefs, we are unable to take phone enquiries about roles before an application is submitted. We ask that all interested candidates please apply online and wait to hear from us. Rest assured, we respond to every applicant, regardless of the outcome, so you will not be left wondering.
Lotus People are proud to have been awarded Best Agency for Candidate Experience for five consecutive years. We look forward to providing you with a positive and respectful experience
