What You’ll Tackle Daily

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Technical Leadership & Strategy

Define, execute, and review T4’s technical strategy and innovation roadmap.

Align the technology stack with business objectives and client needs.

Oversee design, implementation, and optimisation of systems, tools, and processes.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Own the cybersecurity roadmap, frameworks (Essential Eight, SMB 1001), and governance standards.

Lead security incident response planning and readiness.

Ensure risk assessments and compliance initiatives are consistently delivered.

Operational Excellence

Manage day-to-day IT operations, service delivery systems, and technical SOPs.

Champion escalation management and quality assurance.

Drive process improvement and automation to boost efficiency and reduce manual work.

Vendor & Tool Management

Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.

Ensure tools deliver measurable ROI and align with industry best practice.

Team Development & Mentorship

Guide and mentor a team of Professional Services and Technical Alignment Engineers.

Develop clear career pathways and training plans.

Lead regular technical huddles, documentation sessions, and skill-building initiatives.

Reporting & Communication

Provide clear, actionable reporting to the Executive Team on technical KPIs, risks, trends and improvement plans. You’re reporting on performance — not reacting to problems

Act as a trusted advisor translating complex technical concepts into business impact.

What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for:

5–7+ years in a senior engineering or technical leadership role within an MSP.

Ideally, you’ll be based in or near Geelong, Echuca, or Bairnsdale, where we have existing hubs, but this can be a completely remote role!

Current Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MD-101, MD-102, AZ-104, etc).

Proven experience designing and executing technical strategies, roadmaps and governance.

Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management.

Hands-on experience with IT operations tools (RMM, PSA, monitoring, backup).

Excellent documentation discipline and escalation management expertise.

A collaborative, mentoring leadership style. You love growing people as much as solving problems.

A passion for driving process improvement, standardisation and automation.

Exceptional communication skills. You can influence non-technical leaders and build trust fast.
