Spark Accountants is seeking a motivated Graduate Accountant to join the team at our boutique practice on a full-time basis, working with complex group tasks.

Duties & responsibilities:

Preparation of company, individual, partnership, trust, and SMSF tax returns

Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual BAS/IAS returns

Preparation of financial statements

Management accounting, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, and payroll

Liaise with the ATO as required by clients

Provide taxation advice in communications with clients

Assist with the preparation of cash flow forecasts, letters, business plans, correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed

Other general administrative tasks where required

Direct contact with clients for various business and tax matters

Qualifications & experience:

A degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting in Australia

Proficiency in IT and computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office

Knowledge and experience working with MYOB and XERO are preferred

Excellent attention to detail, self-initiative, and motivation

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with customers & clients
