Due to ongoing growth, our Tax and Accounting division, Accountancy Plus, is expanding and seeking a capable Tax Accountant to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Tax Accountant at Accountancy Plus, you will be responsible for preparing personal and small business financial statements and tax returns for a wide portfolio of clients. This includes compiling supporting schedules and ensuring compliance with relevant taxation requirements.

You’ll work closely with our senior team and Director, receiving support and guidance to deepen your technical expertise and grow within the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts

Compiling financial statements for small business clients

Completing BAS and IAS lodgements

Managing compliance obligations with attention to detail

Using Xero, MYOB, and other accounting and superannuation platforms

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate for this role will be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with:

Relevant qualifications and 3+ years of experience in tax accounting

Proven experience preparing BAS, IAS, and a range of tax returns

Strong working knowledge of Xero and MYOB; superannuation software experience desirable

Familiarity with trust structures and small business tax is highly beneficial

CPA, CA, or IPA accreditation (or working towards) is advantageous

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A team mindset and proactive approach to problem solving
