About Us:

David Unwin CPA was founded in 1999 by David Unwin. Since then the firm has grown steadily to become one of the most experienced and reputable firms in the Caboolture area, and now consists of three locations Morayfield, the Sunshine Coast and Maleny.

The firm is heavily committed to the ongoing development of the accounting team. This has contributed to helping the firm achieve a high level of client satisfaction and expand through regular client referrals.

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our team. Bachelor Degree level qualifications in Accounting is preferred, but experience is also very highly considered.

The successful candidate will have:

· Substantial amount of related work experience in a similar public accounting role

· Experience with all entity types including SMSFs

· Experience with entities with large annual turnover

· Experience preparing BAS statements, Financial Statements and Tax Returns

· Experience interacting with the ATO and other regulatory authorities

· Be proficient in the use of XERO, MYOB and Handisoft software

· Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook

· Confident and professional communication skills.

· Ability to operate independently and honestly both with and without supervision.

· Ability to work in a small team and within a family business.

Licence/Certification:

· Visa/ eligibility to work in Australia (Required)

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting (Preferred)

· CPA membership (Preferred but not essential)

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

8 hour shift
