About the role
This role provides a unique opportunity for an experienced project manager to support the delivery of economic development and place-based initiatives that promote the development of an inclusive, culturally rich, thriving and sustainable 24-hour city.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with a dynamic team to design and deliver a range of programs that support local businesses and community through the promotion of 24-hour precincts, streamlining of approval processes and activation of places and spaces with diverse activities.
You will develop strong partnerships with other government agencies, industry organisations and local businesses, work collaboratively to achieve strategic outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in the implementation of economic development programs and place-based initiatives, strong stakeholder engagement, collaborative teamwork and well-developed communication skills, and a good understanding of the role of local government in economic development in a local neighbourhood and global city context.
You will also have relevant tertiary qualifications at a degree level in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience in economic development in place.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
