Provide administrative support to the Molly Wardaguga Institute for First Nations Birth Rights (Molly Institute) team at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position
As the Administration Officer you will provide high level administrative support to Molly Institute Director and the Executive Level Team along with research, academic and professional staff including (but not limited to) the provision of general administrative support, HR recruitment processes, events, communication, contracts, maintenance of databases, record management, accommodation, catering and travel bookings, HDR support and finance processes. You will be a key point of contact in the provision of administrative services and require a high standard of professionalism to be maintained at all times.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Completion of a relevant degree or diploma with extensive work experience or an equivalent alternative combination of relevant training and/or experience
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational, problem solving, and administrative skills including the ability to create, produce and interpret reports, a high level of attention for detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discern sensitive issues.
  • High degree of motivation, innovation, responsibility, and ability to meet work schedules and with the ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service and a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated computer competency and sound keyboard skills with the ability to enter data, text and figures accurately using a variety of information technology systems, including the proficient use of MS Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • An understanding of higher education and/or other large, complex organisations.
  • Experience with systems and databases used in large organisations.
  • Health care experience or understanding highly regarded.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $73,502 to $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,997- $99,349 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
