Your next career opportunity
As a Senior Librarian for Library Services and Spaces at the University of Melbourne, you'll be at the forefront of delivering superior scholarly and digital experiences across multiple library sites. You'll have the opportunity to manage physical spaces, coordinate services, and lead a team of library professionals to ensure exceptional user experiences. Your role will directly impact the academic journey of students and staff, making this a key position for those passionate about innovative library services and space management in higher education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead Service Excellence: Coordinate frontline library services, ensuring consistent high-quality delivery across all channels and implementing continuous improvement processes.
- Manage Library Spaces: Oversee the operational management of a library site cluster, ensuring a consistent and superior experience for the student cohort.
- Develop Staff and Services: Implement training programs and service standard protocols to enhance service delivery and staff performance.
- Drive Innovation: Develop and evaluate informational guides, self-help resources, and marketing materials to support and promote library services.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a forward-thinking library professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for enhancing user experiences, and the ability to drive innovation in library services and spaces across multiple sites.
You may also:
- Have a tertiary qualification in librariainship/information management or equivalent experience.
- Be eligible for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- Possess experience in planning and evaluating high-quality, innovative student services.
- Show proficiency in using data and metrics for decision-making and service improvement.
