Accounts Receivable Officer

Looking for something short-term and flexible? We're working with a close-knit business in Mont Kuring-Gai who need an extra pair of hands in their finance team. They're seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to step in while their current team member is on leave (at least 2 weeks, with a strong chance of extension).

You'll be working approximately 20 hours per week - and they're super flexible with how those hours are spread across the week. The role is onsite, and ideally suited to someone based locally or happy to commute to Mont Kuring-Gai.

What you'll be doing:
You'll be managing the full AR process including receipting payments, reconciling accounts, and chasing outstanding invoices. You'll also help with invoicing, credit notes, and processing credit applications - so it's a varied role where your attention to detail and communication skills will shine.

Key responsibilities include:

Receipting customer payments and reconciling against remittance advice

Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies

Following up overdue accounts and escalating when necessary

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date debtor records

Assisting with invoice generation across multiple branches

Processing credit notes and supporting new customer credit applications

What they're looking for:

Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar

A solid grasp of receivables, invoicing and credit control

Excel skills and experience with MYOB, Xero or a similar system

Someone accurate, organised, and able to work independently

Strong communication skills - you'll be liaising with both customers and internal teams

Important:
This role is onsite in Mont Kuring-Gai (2080) - so please only apply if you're Sydney-based and happy to travel there. Flexibility working from home after the first week
