Advance your career with one of Melbourne's leaders in passenger transport in the role of Operations Supervisor.

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and day to day direction and leadership of Drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure drivers depart on time at the commencement of all shifts and changeovers
  • Minimise any service disruptions by following policies with regards to vehicle breakdowns, absenteeism, on road / in yard accidents or road closures as indicated by Vic Roads. This involves ensuring that the Operations Centre is staffed at all times
  • Providing support and communication to drivers on the road, by means of radio and telephone where required, as well as face to face guidance

What are we looking for?

  • Commercial experience gained within the Transport, Defence or Manufacturing sectors would be highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in related field (desirable)
  • Experience in coordinating, managing and/or scheduling operations across teams and/or mobile workforces would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both face to face and remotely
  • Superior customer service experience
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage workloads in a fast paced and demanding work environment
  • Intermediate Word & Excel skills
  • Willingness to work to a rotating roster (4am - 12am)
  • Ability to gain police clearance
  • Must hold current Victorian drivers' licence
