The Organisation

This is a unique opportunity for a mission-led healthcare organisation. Grounded in impact - providing quality care, access, and advocacy to those who need it most, with a Veteran services focus.

This organisation's mission is to support Veterans in obtaining a diagnostic assessment after being medically discharged. This is a fundamental service that enables Veterans to receive their deserved entitlements and ongoing support.

The team now seek a strategic, outcomes-focused General Manager to lead operations, create scalable systems, and prepare for a new phase of growth and sustainability.

The Role:

You will work across both the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast locations (with some flexibility for remote work), bringing structure and clarity to operations across key departments. Your remit will be broad but focused: driving efficiency, alignment, and impact at every level of the organisation.

Lead operational management, ensuring seamless execution of strategy and care delivery

Build and refine systems, workflows, and governance to support scale

Oversee financial and compliance-related processes and reporting

Drive team performance, culture, and cohesion across diverse healthcare teams

Partner with Founders, Directors and Senior Clinicians on innovation, continuous improvement, and service excellence

Implement workforce planning strategies to ensure optimal team coverage

Support the organisation’s commitment to Veteran health and wellbeing

About You:

You are a commercially astute operator who thrives in dynamic environments. You are driven by purpose, able to pivot between strategy and execution, and have a deep respect for what strong systems and team culture make possible.

Proven experience in healthcare operations (primary care, diagnostics, or similar)

Demonstrated success scaling organisations or services from start-up to maturity

Strategic Leadership experience across multiple sites or departments

Exposure to the Veteran or the Community health sector is highly regarded

A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to inspire trust and deliver outcomes

Values-driven and emotionally intelligent, with a commitment to excellence and service
