When you join us, you will become part of a collaborative Corporate Services team, guided by experienced directors and managers.
About the Role
As our Senior Bookkeeper, you will play an essential part in delivering high-quality bookkeeping and financial services to clients spanning a variety of sectors, including ASX-listed companies, private businesses, and not-for-profit organisations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing supplier invoices, managing creditor pay runs, and ensuring all payments are approved and uploaded to the bank accurately and on schedule
Handling accounts receivable invoicing and processing receipts in a timely manner
Overseeing payroll administration and processing, including the management of superannuation and salary sacrifice arrangements, utilising platforms such as Xero and MYOB
Preparing and lodging IAS & BAS returns
Performing end-of-month balance sheet reconciliations and profit & loss reviews
Supporting the preliminary preparation of monthly management accounts
Assisting colleagues with various tasks and assignments to ensure client deadlines and expectations are consistently met
Recognising and flagging potential issues or opportunities for process improvement with Management and Directors
Communicating directly with clients to address queries and provide requested information promptly and professionally
About You
To excel in this position, you will bring:
Extensive experience in all aspects of bookkeeping, including end-of-period (monthly, quarterly, yearly) procedures
Confidence in working to deadlines, excellent organisational skills, and a sharp eye for accuracy and detail
Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges
Strong proficiency with Xero, MYOB, and the MS Office Suite
Relevant qualifications: Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (minimum) or higher
3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role within a professional services environment
