Duties

You will be working in the most advanced and modern shipbuilding hub in Australia, constructing world-class naval vessels as part of the Hunter Class Frigate Program.

• Execute tasks defined as being of a Mechanical Function within Production to ensure delivery in line with the Manufacturing Plan
• Carry out tasks both on-board the Naval Vessel and also within a workshop environment
• Undertake tasks as described within Mechanical Job Cards and complete associated documentation to capture job progress
• Ensure time keeping accuracy by booking to correct job cards
• Interpret and utilize complex technical drawings
• Comply with required quality and technical directions contained within job cards work scopes and process instructions
• Work with apprentices and oversee their skills and development as appropriate
• Undertake training as deemed appropriate

Skills & Experience

• Trade Qualified - Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting)
• Demonstrated experience as an Mechanical Tradesperson
• Must be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Security Clearance
• NSSIC Clearance (Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identification Card)
