PJL Group is a specialised Underground Hard Rock Maintenance and Asset Supply Company that is seeking experienced Underground Fitters for a long-term underground Mining Project in Kanmantoo, South Australia.
The Kanmantoo operation is located approximately 1 hour drive southeast of Adelaide CBD, in the highly desirable Adelaide Hills region. Surrounding towns include those of Mt Barker, Murray Bridge, Hahndorf and Strathalbyn.
PJL are responsible for the supply and maintenance of the underground mining fleet on a 24/7 basis from dedicated onsite workshop facilities for its client Hillgrove Resources (HGO). The fleet is a combination of Sandvik, Caterpillar and Volvo underground equipment.
About You
- Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification (HD)
- Heavy duty / heavy machinery UG experience preferred
- Experience in carrying out routine inspections of underground equipment to identify any potential breakdowns or malfunctions
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues
- Experience in carrying out complex repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ability to contribute to a high performing team and ensure efficient workflow and minimise downtime
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Able to work accurately with minimal supervision
