🔧 About the Role

We’re on the hunt for a highly skilled Generator Technician who brings strong electrical fault-finding abilities and hands-on diesel engine experience—including common rail systems.

This role is not entry-level: We’re looking for a true specialist who can hit the ground running across field breakdowns, control systems, and workshop overhauls.

You’ll work across critical power systems and support our clients with best-in-class service delivery.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

Service, diagnose, and repair diesel generator sets from 10kVA to 1000kVA+

Field and workshop breakdown support including call-outs for urgent repairs

Fault-finding and commissioning of ComAp and DeepSea Electronic (DSE) controller systems

Work with canopy and open sets, including synchronising systems and switchgear

Manage common rail fuel systems, wiring diagnostics, and engine control troubleshooting

Install new generator systems and support commissioning on client sites

Maintain accurate job records and service reports in line with company standards

Proficiently dismantle and rebuild electrical and machine components in adherence tomanufacturers' specifications

Locating electrical and electronic malfunctions in generators, electrical motors

Maintain a diverse range of electrical engines, spanning from 20 to 2000kVA.

✅ What You Must Bring

Minimum 5 years’ dedicated experience with diesel generators (required – not negotiable)

Heavy diesel mechanical / Electrical qualification or similar

Electrical understanding essential – including control circuits, ATS, and load testing

Practical experience with ComAp, DeepSea, or similar controller platforms

Excellent fault-finding skills across both engine and electrical systems

Confident communicator and able to work autonomously or as part of a team

A full Australian driver’s licence

Hybrid system experience (solar + battery integration with gensets)
