Quality Energy (est. 1987) is growing fast, and with our new brand XSync taking off, we're on the lookout for a sharp, technically driven Power Quality Engineer who can hit the ground running.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced electrical engineer with strong practical knowledge across:

Power Factor Correction (PFC)

Active Harmonic Filters (AHF)

Static Var Generators (SVG)

Power quality analysis (harmonics, flicker, THD)

Simulation studies (ETAP preferred)

This role combines technical support, client consulting, field services, and project delivery across a wide range of commercial and industrial sites.

What You'll Be Doing

Conduct power quality site assessments using Class A analysers

Design and troubleshoot PFC, AHF, SVG, and hybrid systems

Create and run ETAP simulations for harmonic analysis and system optimisation

Support internal and external stakeholders with technical queries and advice

Collaborate with our project managers and field teams on installs and commissioning

Prepare reports, SLDs, and BOQs for clients and consultants

Deliver occasional training and presentations to clients and partners

Assist the sales and service teams to close deals and retain clients

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Minimum 5+ years experience in a power quality role (ideally with fieldwork)

Solid understanding of Australian electrical standards and systems

ETAP or similar software proficiency

Strong communication and client-facing skills

A practical, solutions-first approach with strong attention to detail

Bonus: experience with local switchboard layouts, capacitor bank upgrades, or cloud-connected devices
