The Company
Join a nationally recognised leader in equipment rental services with a legacy of delivering reliable, end-to-end solutions across mining, construction, and industrial sectors. With a network of workshops across Australia, this organisation supports mining companies, OEMs, and contractors with 100% rental-based offerings—from lighting towers and compressors to earthmoving equipment and site storage solutions. Known for safety, service, and industry know-how, they are a trusted partner for critical operations. They are currently looking for a Major Account Manager to maintain and increase wallet share from their key clients.

The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Major Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of 20–40 accounts in the Mackay region.
  • This role focuses on building strategic partnerships with mining and contractor clients— primarily in coal — alongside industrial maintenance service companies and OEMs such as Caterpillar and Komatsu.
  • Your day-to-day will include maintaining strong account relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning hire solutions to your clients’ project needs.
  • You will be responsible for client planning, delivering against revenue targets, and ensuring high service standards across your portfolio.
  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll play a critical part in the region's success by increasing market share within existing accounts.

The Candidate
You’re a commercially savvy and customer-focused professional with:

  • Experience selling to mining clients, contractors, OEMs (CAT, Komatsu, JCB etc…) or industrial service providers.
  • A strong background in managing key accounts with strategic focus
  • The ability to engage at head-office level with EPCs, EPCMs, and OEMs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • A proactive and organised mindset, ready to work autonomously and deliver results
  • A background in equipment hire, industrial sales or similar technical solutions will be highly regarded.
