The role.
Client facing account manager. Reporting to the Managing Director in Melbourne, be the key client contact and collaborator for our major clients based in Sydney.
Grow and maintain existing client relationships, whilst securing new business.
Managing the development and implementation of market leading, innovative and sustainable retail merchandising systems for the leading brands in the world.
Ensure projects are executed to the required standard for client and company.
Communicate technical details of designs to clients in terms of functionality, value and manufacturing.
Create contact reports, quotations, design briefings and WIP documents regularly.
Work collaboratively with the production, design and project managers on issues relating to the achievement of our intended plans and product outcomes.
Assume commercial responsibility from a price and consistency perspective.
Assume after sales responsibilities throughout the project lifespan.
Work will largely be remote in Sydney with some travel to work on site at our Truganina facility and at client offices in Melbourne.
Skills & Qualifications
At least five years’ experience within a sales or project, client facing role.
Proven track record on delivering successful outcomes for clients in a high performance environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Essential: Understanding of retail sales, attention to detail, client facing sales or project management experience.
Favoured: Experience in the POS, retail design, manufacturing or construction industry. Experience in cosmetics retail, or similar complex field. Customer service background.
Tertiary qualifications in business, project management and marketing highly favoured.
Numerate with a level of business and commercial acumen.
Must be computer literate, able to learn new programs and processes.

Proactive, with a dedication to take responsibility to ensure a project runs smoothly within deadlines.
As the role is remote from our main office, an independent work ethic and sense of responsibility is key. Must be a ‘self-starter’
Willing and capable of understanding the technical aspects of our products and manufacturing techniques, to the level required to manage projects and adequately communicate with clients and suppliers.
A hands-on approach. Not shy to pick up the phone, get away from the computer and get things done.
Understands the client – supplier relationship in a highly competitive industry.
A level of emotional intelligence and ability to present the companies interests before their own.
Have a passion for well-designed brand and retail environments with an understanding of the consumer experience.
Have the ability to think critically, interpret multiple sources of complex data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
Be creative, being a person who loves to bring ideas to the table, show willingness to input and add value.
Willingness to learn, grow, try new things.
Location & Travel
Based in Sydney, the role is remote, working from home or city office assigned by the company TBC.
Regular travel to our Melbourne office in Truganina, especially at the commencement of the role for onboarding, training and experience with the team.
Travel to Sydney clients as well as retail stores when required.
Interstate travel from time to time, as well as international travel to our intercompany hubs may arise.
