The Role:

As a Junior/Intermediate Accountant, you will play a key role in our growing team, with the unique opportunity to work closely with our approachable and friendly partners. We provide extensive training and mentoring to support your growth. You’ll be encouraged to manage client relationships while handling the following responsibilities:

Completing business year-end Financial Accounts and Income Tax Returns (for all entity types);

Preparing business analytical data (financial ratios, benchmarking, tax planning, etc);

Completing all other statutory compliance requirements.

Liaising with government bodies.

Liaising with clients on consultancy matters.

Experience with the ATO Tax Agent Portal.

Career progression to be a tax specialist and Supervisor.

Qualifications & experience:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Good organization skills to manage files and records.

Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Strong collaborative skills, a dedicated work ethic and active learner

Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas

Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be target driven.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationship.

You will also have the following proven experience and strong education background:

Australian university qualified degree (majoring in Accounting)

CPA in progress (we will sponsor your CPA program).

Outstanding tax knowledge of Australian tax system

Solid foundation of technical skills in taxation and accounting

Exposure to Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB & 360 Simple fund etc;

Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.
