Exciting new opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant

Large firm background, clients up to $100m turnover

CA/CPA fully funded and supported

Hybrid work available - 2 days after probation is passed

Fantastic opportunity with a large size accounting firm looking for their next Intermediate Accountant to join their team. Role has become available due to strong growth and acquisition of new clients.

The firm has a diverse and strong mix of clients ranging from HNWIs to SMEs and large consolidated groups belonging to industries across tech, retail, construction development and more.

Training and development is a key priority. This includes CA/CPA study support, on the job training supported by a highly experienced Manager and Director.

Firm also has a great hybrid work policy - 3 days in the office & 2 days WFH. Social activities across the team occur regularly as well.

The systems are cloud-based, not a paper office and the firm uses Xero.

Main duties involve:

Working on clients from array of industries - covering all their compliance work: Tax returns, financial statements, BAS/IAS, payroll etc.

Cementing skills across Div7a, implications across CGT/FBT/GST, and handling year-end tax planning

Liaising with clients directly involving sit-in meetings, over phone and email

Highlighting client queries for follow up

Assisting with specific clients with management accounting and budgeting work

Applicants:

Minimum 2.5 years' experience in a compliance role within public practice

Excellent communications skills - written and verbal

Eager to learn and progress

SMSF experience in addition is ideal but not compulsory

Committed to starting CA/CPA if not already commenced

Must hold PR or citizenship
