Prismatic Inks Pty Ltd (part of the Tollchem Group) is involved in the manufacturing of varnishes and inks for food and pharmaceutical packaging industry with locations spread throughout Australia and New Zealand. This is a full-time office role, Monday to Friday - 8.30am-5:00pm.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement / Accounts Officer to join our small team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the procurement of goods, materials, and services both locally and internationally, including the co-ordination of air and sea inbound/outbound freight. This is a hands-on role that also covers the full range of day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and general bookkeeping.
Your time management, attention to detail, administration knowledge and intermediate excel capability will ensure maximum deliverables to support the duties across the administration side of the business. Experience in reconciling accounts through to Trial Balance is ideal.
You will work closely with our manufacturing plant in Sydney and our regional and overseas warehouses. This is a "hands-on" position that requires a "can do" attitude and "make it happen" levels of ownership.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement: Domestic and International purchasing, inventory management and shipping logistics management experience. Liaising with freight forwarders.
Balance sheet reconciliation: Assist with accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and other balance sheet reconciliation.
Financial reporting: Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial reports, including EOM journals.
Customer Service: Supporting local, interstate and international customers with their orders, deliveries, and payments.
Accounts Payable: Assist with processing weekly ad-hoc supplier invoices for both our Australian and New Zealand divisions
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Strong organisational and administrative skills with intermediate / advanced computer skills including MS Office.
QUALIFICATIONS – one of the following:
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or relevant experience
Certificate IV in Procurement or relevant experience.
Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant experience.
- preferred, but not essential
Experience using Ostendo Software
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Strong skills in AP, AR, reconciliations, and inventory management (minimum 2 years)
Organised, attention to detail, multitasker, problem solver, and able to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Must have permanent Australian work rights
