City of Parramatta has an exciting 2-year term contract position working in the Infrastructure Grants and Projects team as a Project Manager Strategic Projects.
As the Project Manager you will predominately be managing a planned $50 million flooding, drainage, and streetscape upgrade of Hill Road Wentworth Point.
About the role
As the project manager you will be responsible for the design of complex infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams from across Council and establishing and maintaining strong, effective internal and external relationships to ensure high levels of engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage the delivery of significant infrastructure projects, primarily the Hill Road upgrade, from initiation to operational handover.
- Coordinate diverse and multi-functional project teams to deliver complex and sensitive projects.
- Negotiate, mediate, and resolve complex project management, and contractual issues to achieve positive outcomes.
- Managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Recognised degree qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or other related discipline.
- Extensive experience in the project management of a wide range of projects and programs, demonstrating a track record of successful delivery.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of the NSW Local Government Act and Regulations.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $129,776 to $142,860 plus 12% superannuation.
