About the opportunity

The Manager Project Management Office (PMO) leads the PMO to support and enable the governance and execution of a diverse portfolio of programs and projects. This role provides portfolio, program and project reporting and governance, builds project management capability and also directly oversees the NSW SES delivery framework. The Manager PMO supports the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects, ensuring governance and methodology supports achievement of project outcomes and organisational objectives. The role supervises a small team that facilitates and advises inter-dependent programs and projects to ensure consistency, alignment with organisational goals and effective delivery.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • able to demonstrate experience in contemporary portfolio reporting and governance;
  • able to demonstrate extensive experience in all aspects of program and project management using both waterfall and agile methods appropriately;
  • adept in developing and maintaining stakeholder engagement;
  • experienced in building project and program and project management capability in others.

  • Attractive salary range of $125,693 to $138,510 plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading.

We are a volunteer-based organisation that provides emergency assistance to the people of NSW 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. It is the approximately 9,000 volunteers across the state that make this possible. NSW SES Volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing with them many different skills, interests and backgrounds. They are united by the purpose of supporting their communities in times of need.

While our major responsibilities are for flood and storm emergencies, NSW SES also provides the majority of general rescue effort in the rural parts of the state.
