About the role

As a Project Manager at Mermec Australia Pty Ltd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of a range of engineering projects. This is a full-time position based in Sydney, NSW 2000. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets

Provide technical support during project execution.

Assist in the design, development, and implementation of railway signalling systems.

Coordinating and leading project teams, including engineers, technicians, and support staff

Identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and dependencies to keep projects on track

Communicating project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders

Ensuring projects adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards

Continuously improving project management processes and practices

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.

Proven experience in managing and working on railway signalling projects.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Knowledge of railway signalling systems and standards

Significant experience (5+ years) as a project manager in an engineering or technical environment

Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organise, and execute complex projects

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly

Proficient in the use of project management software and tools
