Remuneration: $119,746.50 - $134,049.51 pa + superannuation & leave loading

We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Festival and Events Coordinator to lead a thriving sector that is essential to building a brighter and bolder regional economy. As the primary relationship lead within the Tourism, Arts and Culture Department, you’ll drive collaboration, identify exciting opportunities, and deliver impactful projects that bring the community together. Join us in championing creativity, innovation, and connection - helping to grow a vibrant events industry and a stronger visitor economy across the Shire.
To be successful for this role you will require:
- Relevant degree and some relevant experience or lesser formal qualification with substantial experience in the attraction and delivery of major events.
- Experience in the events industry including an understanding of operational frameworks.
- Ability to manage time, set priorities, plan, and organise one’s own work and that of other employees to efficiently achieve specific and set objectives within a set timetable.
- Strong leadership skills and the capacity to provide guidance to staff of a lesser experience.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic hardware and software, and the ability to learn new software/systems.
- Demonstrated understanding how festivals and events contribute to the economic development of regional destinations.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Valid National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Valid driver’s licence.
