As Head of Applications & Data, you’ll set and deliver a multi-year strategy to transform fragmented systems and siloed data into a cohesive, modern, and business-driven technology ecosystem. You’ll lead the rationalisation of a broad, SaaS-heavy application portfolio - removing overlap, enhancing security, and ensuring every platform is future-ready and delivering true business value.

You’ll support enterprise architecture initiatives, helping build a unified, scalable foundation that enables agility, advanced analytics, and future AI innovation. This isn’t just about updating systems - it’s about enabling a truly data-driven, AI-powered future backed by a CEO who wants to invest if it makes commercial sense. You’ll strengthen ESG reporting, build the groundwork for predictive insights, and unlock faster, safer, and smarter ways of working.

In this role, you’ll also guide and develop a small, close-knit team (currently one direct report, with potential to grow), empowering them while staying hands-on when needed. What you’ll shape and deliver

You’ll lead application strategy and rationalisation, partnering with senior leaders to ensure a consolidated, secure, and business-focused portfolio. You’ll drive data and integration strategies to unify systems, enable better reporting, and build a strong foundation for advanced analytics and AI. Your business analysis expertise will help design modern, scalable solutions that transform processes and empower better decision-making at every level.

What you’ll bring

· 5+ years’ experience leading a functional IT value stream - ideally across Enterprise Applications, Data, or Integration. Perfect for a Business Systems Manager ready to step into their first Head of role, or for a current Head of looking for their next exciting transformation and challenge.

· Proven ability to manage and optimise application portfolios in close partnership with business leaders.

· Strong expertise in integration and solid understanding of data architecture and warehousing.

· A hands-on, humble, and people-focused leadership style - able to flex seamlessly from strategy to technical detail.
