Binners Farm Food Truck is located in front of Binners Fruit Farm in Helensburgh. The family has been serving the local community since the 1960's. Our food truck has quickly become a beloved local institution, known for its mouthwatering burgers, perfectly brewed single origin coffee and irresistible sweet treats. We are passionate about using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients and providing a unique roadside experience to all our customers.

About the role

We currently have a vacancy for a casual, versatile and enthusiastic Food Truck Chef to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in the daily operations of our popular food truck, contributing to the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Preparation and service of food items according to the Binners Food Truck menu.

Set up and pack down of cooking equipment, stock, and prep items before/after service.

Monitor stock levels and effectively communicate with the Food Truck manager

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including cleaning and sanitising the food truck and equipment

Lead the kitchen , effectively communicate and guide other food truck staff

Providing excellent customer service, taking orders, handling cash, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Supporting the team with various other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth running of the food truck operations

About You

Along with a strong work ethic, great sense of humour and previous hospitality experience you'll have/be:

Experience in short order - Ability to prepare meals quickly during busy service times without sacrificing quality.

Minimum 2 years experience in café, takeaway, or food truck kitchen preferred.

Barista skills or coffee-making experience is a bonus.

Full Australian working rights or a permanent resident

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards

Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing demands and work in a fast-paced environment

Be punctual, reliable and committed to quality
