Casual Aged Care Chef Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Aged Care Chef for a casual role with leading aged care providers in and around Rooty Hill. This position plays a vital role in the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring meal service excellence and a supportive dining experience for residents.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Supervision and delivery of premium meal service, including menu planning and catering oversight

Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, WHS, and Quality standards

Providing leadership, support, and training to kitchen team members

Stock control, ordering, and cost management

Resident dietary planning and communication with residents and families

Overseeing food preparation and ensuring meals meet nutritional and presentation standards

Driving continuous improvement in kitchen operations and service delivery

What you will bring to the role:

Experience in aged care catering or high-volume commercial kitchen environments

Relevant Chef qualifications and strong understanding of special dietary requirements

Sound knowledge of Food Safety legislation

A passion for preparing nutritious meals and delivering exceptional service

Proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong leadership skills

Professional presentation and strong communication skills

Ability to manage kitchen operations, staff performance, and compliance documentation
