The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Wood) / Workshop manager to join our team in Wangara. This dual-role position requires a hands-on professional who can expertly operate and maintain our CNC machine while also taking responsibility for the efficient and safe operation of our factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

Operate the CNC flatbed router and other woodworking machinery to produce custom cabinetry components with precision and efficiency

Manage the overall operations of the workshop, including workflow and maintenance of equipment

Provide technical guidance and supervision to other production staff

Continuously improve production processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant safety regulations

Collaborate with the design team to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Assist with inventory management and material ordering as needed

What We're Looking For

Experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in the cabinetry or woodworking industry

Demonstrated proficiency in operating CNC flatbed routers and other woodworking machinery

Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Experience in managing a workshop environment, including scheduling, workflow, and team supervision

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
