CNC Machinists – Day, Arvo & Night Shifts

Rate: $50.90/hr + super (day shift)
Shift loadings: +17.5% (afternoon), +30% (night)

We’re recruiting for a well-known manufacturer of mining and bulk materials handling equipment. Based in Bayswater, the site runs a clean, modern facility with a strong focus on lean manufacturing, safety and precision.

The workshop includes both brand-new CNC machines and well-maintained existing equipment. They’re looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join the team across day, afternoon and night shift. Regular overtime is available (roughly 10 hours per week) and paid with applicable penalties. You’ll be working with Mori Seiki and L&L machines, producing high-spec components to tight tolerances.

What you’ll be doing

Programming and setting Mori Seiki and L&L CNC machines

Interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints

Operating precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, dial gauges, bore gauges etc.)

Ensuring jobs are completed accurately and on time

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

What we’re looking for

Strong CNC programming and setting experience (essential)

Exposure to Fanuc and/or MSX control systems (preferred)

Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings

Competent with precision tools – e.g. micrometers, verniers, bore gauges

A reliable attitude – shows up every shift, on time

Team player with a focus on quality and safety
