The Sovereign Resort Hotel is a Four-Star Resort situated in Cooktown Far North Queensland on the Great Barrier Reef. We have a 38-room resort with beautiful tropical gardens and a lagoon swimming pool. We have multiple restaurants on site. A la Carte Balcony Restaurant with views overlooking the beautiful Endeavour River Mouth, Café Bar Bistro and a Bottle shop.
We are seeking a motivated Qualified Sous Chef with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to join our kitchen team.
This position is highly diverse and requires a highly talented and experienced chef seeking a role in a remote location.
We love using and sourcing most of our produce locally
Responsibilities will include

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 3 years of experience as a Qualified Sous Chef
- Strong management experience including menu design and stock-takes
- Experience working in fast-paced environments
- Experience working across all sections of the kitchen
- A highly organised and punctual work ethic
