Our client is a Queensland based civil contractor that focus purely on retaining wall construction, and they do it well. From residential subdivisions to large-scale infrastructure jobs, they’ve carved out a solid reputation for delivering efficient, high-quality results with all repeat clients!

Based out of Rocklea and with active sites across South East Queensland, they’ve got a solid project pipeline and a small, tight-knit team that values people who are proactive, reliable, and keen to get stuck in. About the role / responsibilities:

This is an epic opportunity for a motivated Project Engineer to take on real responsibility and grow with the business. You’ll be working closely with the Director, Project Manager and construction crew to help plan, manage, and deliver retaining wall projects of all sizes.

Your role will include:

• Reading and interpreting structural drawings and technical specs.
• Coordinating materials, subcontractors, and timelines across multiple sites.
• Overseeing site progress, compliance, and quality control.
• Supporting project budgeting, procurement, and scheduling.
• Helping drive safe, efficient delivery from start to finish.

You won’t be stuck behind a desk, you’ll be out on site, solving problems, talking to suppliers, and working with a great crew who actually enjoy what they do!

To succeed, you’ll need:

• A background in civil or structural engineering (degree qualified desirable).
• Previous experience in civil construction, ideally across structural or groundworks projects, retaining wall experience is a bonus but not a dealbreaker.
• A solid understanding of site works, safety standards, and working with structural plans.
• A team player who’s proactive, organised, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves.
• Great communication skills and the ability to liaise with site teams, project managers, and external stakeholders.
