Tasks & responsibilities:

· Review of Xero data and preparation of accounts, activity statements, and tax returns.

· Ability to analyse financial data to spot compliance and business performance concerns.
. Assist clients with Xero/accounting/tax queries.

· Liaise with the ATO on client matters as required.

· Preparing Financial Statements and Income tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.

· Provide tax research and provide assistance on all tax-related matters across the group to both clients and staff.

· Prepare Div7a, CGT, FBT and GST Returns

The successful candidate must have brilliant administrative/computer skills (Microsoft Office), display a positive 'can-do' attitude with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications & experience:

· Degree in Accounting.

· CPA or CA Qualifications, or working toward

· Minimum 3 years of Australian Tax Preparation Experience, along with Client contact.

· Must know Xero inside and out (exposure to other Accounting systems is also highly regarded) and Experience with Practice Manager, Xero and Hubdoc a +++

· Excellent verbal & written communication skills

· Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· A thirst to improve and a desire to learn (we are big believers in continuous improvement).
