- Current Nursing Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
- Degree in General Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery board of Australia.
- Postgraduate Qualifications in relevant nursing speciality, preferably a Masters in Advanced Nursing or working towards.
- Postgraduate qualification in Education, Clinical Supervision or similar (or working towards)
- Experience in development, delivery and coordination of Nursing Education Programs.

About the Role
The Practice Development Nurse - Specialist is responsible for supporting the professional development of all permanent and program staff across our clinical settings. Their primary role is to ensure best practice by providing ongoing education and support for all staff with particular focus on the advancement of knowledge, skills and training with relevance to the clinical setting. This will be achieved by implementing clinically based education using the principles of Evidenced Based Practice to improve the delivery of nursing care. Furthermore, they will be responsible for their own professional development in order to maintain expert clinical skills and advanced knowledge.
Classifications for this position will range from RN35 ($122,907.20 per annum).

About St Vincent's on the Park
St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) opened Rapid Access Hub (RAH) which operates out of the St Vincent's on the Park (SVOP) campus. The RAH at SVOP is a day surgery centre which allows SVHM to provide diagnostic and quality of life improving procedures to patients who have had care and treatment postponed due Victoria's extended planned surgery wait list. The RAH at SVOP is a day surgery service.
Operating hours Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 7:30pm. No Public Holidays, weekends or nights.
A total of four operating theatres are operational, including two endoscopy theatres and two surgical day case theatres
Education and Learning support for nursing staff onsite
The facilities and staff amenities at SVOP are newly established and include large change facilities, kitchen and lounge areas
