Are you a civil engineering professional ready to lead and drive key infrastructure strategies and projects? Wellington Shire Council is looking for a motivated and experienced Coordinator Infrastructure Development to play a critical role in planning, designing and delivering high-impact infrastructure that benefits our growing community.

About the Role

As the Coordinator Infrastructure Development, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver a range of services, including infrastructure development strategies, design projects for capital works, and the administration of Council's Special Charge Scheme. You will work closely with internal teams, developers, consultants and government authorities to achieve strategic and community-driven infrastructure outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of infrastructure development programs and projects.
  • Manage subdivision approvals, infrastructure design processes, and special charge schemes.
  • Provide expert advice on strategic infrastructure issues and liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Supervise and support a team of technical staff and consultants.
  • Ensure projects meet timelines, budget expectations, and safety and compliance standards.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, technical documentation and project updates to stakeholders and Council.

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in civil/municipal infrastructure development and design.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and lead teams.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure planning, local government processes, and relevant legislation and standards.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills with excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation ability.
  • A current driver's licence.
