Outstanding opportunity to join a leading civil and demolition contractor, contributing to major projects including government facilities, commercial developments, and industrial sites.
Operating for over 30 years, this is a well-established contractor, with 130 – 150 full time employees, plus sub-contractors, and coverage on 5 – 10 major projects at any one time.
The role:
A hands-on role, coordinate the movement of tools and equipment in and out of the warehouse, across multiple projects, identifying maintenance issues, controlling yard operations, and coordinating, and supervising a team of three support staff.
Based at their centrally located warehouse in Sydney’s west, and reporting to the Assets & Logistics Manager, this is a fast paced yet methodical environment requiring precision, confidence, and ability to multitask.
Standard Hours: 6.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the daily tools, equipment, and mobile plant allocation for 5-10 demolition projects
- Evaluate, clean, test, and identify equipment for repair as needed
- Support to the workshop mechanics/electricians by carrying out minor repairs, to enable them to focus on more complex equipment repairs and tasks.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory
- Supervise and coordinate a small support team of 3
- Keep yard and warehouse organized and safe
- Communicate effectively with team and site personnel
- Perform general administrative duties
Skills and experience includes:
- Warehouse operations, OR
- Hire yard operations,
- A working knowledge of tools, equipment, and plant used in construction and/or demolition.
- Experienced gained in either:
- Any experience gained in the construction industry will be highly regarded.
- A mechanical mindset or background
- Previous staff supervisory experience
- Professional, organized, with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills,
- Flexible with hours
- Able to multitask
- Committed to safety and best practices
- A Current driver’s license is essential (Forklift or HR Lic. well regarded, but not essential)

Salary guide: $80,000 – $100,000 + super
