Senior Accountant – Manufacturing Focus (Maternity Cover)

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, purpose-led FMCG manufacturer in the health and wellness space. This rare opportunity calls for a hands-on, commercially minded accountant to step into a broad, business-facing role with full ownership of the finance function. Immediate start required.

• Schedule: Part-Time (25–30 hours/week, Mon–Thurs in-office)
• Location: South of the River, Perth
• Bonus: $10,000 Retention Bonus
• Start: Immediate Start Required

About the Role:
Reporting to the CFO, you will take full ownership of finance operations during a period of maternity cover. With significant visibility across the business, this role will suit someone confident operating across the spectrum — from transactional detail through to monthly board reporting.

As the company continues to scale both locally and overseas, this is a chance to embed yourself within the business and potentially grow into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver month-end close processes including COGS, stock, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments
• Own financial reporting and compliance: BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, etc.
• Manage AP/AR and weekly payroll (40 staff)
• Monitor and forecast cashflow, optimise working capital
• Work with Product Development on accurate pre- and post-launch product costing
• Identify and analyse cost variances; drive margin improvement
• Coordinate with external tax agents and maintain internal controls
• Present monthly performance and board-level financial reports

Short but Sweet:
We are seeking a practical, detail-driven accountant with:

• CA/CPA qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience
• Hands-on accounting background in FMCG/manufacturing
• Clear understanding of product costing and COGS
• Payroll experience
• Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel
• A pragmatic, get-the-job-done attitude
