Are you an experienced Settlements professional ready to take the next step in your career? Our client is a dynamic, technology-focused bridging loan company, currently reimagining how short-term property finance works-faster, smarter, and simpler for everyone involved. As Settlements Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in ensuring seamless, compliant, and efficient property settlements for our growing client base.

This role will be permanent and based in the heart of the Sydney CBD, with 4 days on site and 1 working from home. We are looking for a Settlements professional who can take lead on strategy and reporting but also remain hands on when needed.

This will be paying up to $130,000 + Super annually with a generous Employee Stock Ownership Plan on top of the annual package. This role will have a Settlements Team Lead reporting directly to you, along with a small off-shore team.

What You'll Do

• Manage the end-to-end settlement process for property transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Coordinate settlement dates and documentation with all stakeholders, proactively resolving any delays or issues.
• Accurately calculate and execute financial adjustments, disbursements, and reconciliation of settlement funds.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of settlement officers, including conducting performance reviews.
• Act as the primary point of contact for complex settlement queries and escalations from internal and external parties.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, property developers, legal teams, and internal sales/project teams.
• Ensure all settlement activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and industry standards, with effective risk controls in place.
• Generate and analyze reports on settlement performance, identifying opportunities for process improvement and strategic enhancements.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in property settlements or loan settlements, within a leadership or Team Lead role.
• Prior expereince within Property Development, Finance, or other related industries.
• Strong understanding of the property settlements lifestyle and processes that follow.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Leadership skills and experience managing a small team. Prior expsoure managing off-shore resources advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
• Experienced with settlement software the MS Office suite.
