SG Coatings has quickly earned a reputation locally for being a high-quality painting service, consistently exceeding customer's expectations. For this reason, we are currently seeking 1st year apprentice painters and fully qualified painters to join our growing team.

Our company is owned and operated by female painter Sophie, with over 20 years' experience in the construction industry. Based in Carrum Downs, our team of male and female painters service residential and commercial clients across the Mornington Peninsula, Bayside Melbourne and South Eastern suburbs.

The successful applicants must demonstrate the following:

Fully qualified position:

Must have completed Cert III in Painting and Decorating (or equal experience)

Must have own car, drivers licence and own tools

Minimum of one years' completed trade experience preferred

Must hold white card

Police check (or willing to obtain)

Must have valid Australian work rights and be willing to obtain a National Police Check

Competent understanding and commitment to safety

Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes and rollers. Application by spray is an advantage.

A strong understanding of customer service

Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks. Smoothing and sealing surfaces prior to painting.

Correct use of drop sheets and paint protection measures.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to multi-task
