Are you a hands-on proactive HR professional looking to make a real impact in a dynamic team? We’re currently seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support our people and processes at Woodlands. This role will work closely with managers and staff across the business, while also assisting our Payroll Officer with fortnightly payroll responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage end-to-end HR functions including onboarding, contract preparation, and inductions
Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and procedures
Provide expert support and guidance on a wide range of HR matters, including:
Workplace relations and employee welfare
Performance management
Policy interpretation
Wellness, safety, and health initiatives
Stay up to date and ensure compliance with industrial relations laws, modern awards, and WHS regulations
Support payroll processing in collaboration with the Payroll Officer
Handle matters related to payroll tax, apprenticeships, wage subsidies, and workers’ compensation (including claims)
Serve as the first point of contact for all employment-related queries
Maintain accurate employee records including superannuation and leave entitlements (including long service leave)
Partner with the CFO, Operations Manager, and other department leaders to support business needs
Uphold the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee information
Manage time-sensitive tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior HR or similar generalist role
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources (preferred but not essential)
Solid experience in workplace relations, industrial relations, and WHS
A sound understanding of relevant employment legislation and workers’ compensation requirements
Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (intermediate to advanced)
A friendly, approachable demeanour and a "can-do" attitude
