Our client is a leading, vertically integrated agricultural business with a rich family heritage spanning over a century. They are deeply involved in the production and supply of high-quality products, managing every aspect of their operations from vast land holdings to advanced processing facilities.
Committed to genuinely supporting their workforce, our client is searching for a dynamic HR Business Partner to lead human resources strategies across their operational sites. About the role
The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing, managing, and coordinating HR strategies, policies, programs, and systems, ensuring the ongoing wellbeing and suitability of their valuable team members. Consistency, compliance, and culture will be at the forefront of their work, making sure HR and Safety practices are seamless across all locations.
- Championing Health & Safety: The HR Business Partner will create and promote a positive safety culture, ensuring full compliance with WHS legislation;
- Driving Strategic HR: They will develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, fostering a professional, positive, and supportive work environment;
- Ensuring Compliance & Systems Excellence: This role maintains business compliance with relevant awards and agreements, staying current with HR, IR, and WHS legislation. They will also standardise and maintain all reporting and recording systems, and participate in WHS audits;
- Managing the Employee Journey: The successful candidate will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, induction, and training programs, and assist with performance management to foster a positive work culture;
- Building Strong Relationships: They will cultivate professional and collaborative communication, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and inclusivity across all interactions; and
- Reporting & Analytics: The HR Business Partner will track and report on all HR and Safety metrics, compiling key reports for leadership.
Requirements for the role
This role involves frequent and substantial travel, often to rural and remote areas for extended periods (7-10 days monthly or more frequently). The HR Business Partner will maintain regular face-to-face contact at all facilities, gaining a deep understanding of the unique operational requirements of each diverse location. If you love variety and are comfortable with a significant portion of your time spent on the road, this is for you!
Ideally, you will also have
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field;
- Experience: A proven track record as a HR Generalist, preferably in a senior role within a production-focused or similar industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience;
- Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and experience in designing and delivering coaching/mentoring, learning and development, and talent management programs;
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong capability in auditing and monitoring, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; and
- Attributes: A high degree of adaptability and flexibility, with proven experience managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and conflicting priorities. A valid Class C motor vehicle license is essential.
