We’re looking for a dynamic Manager - Strategic Partnerships to lead relationship-building initiatives, unlock growth opportunities, deliver successful projects, and help shape the future of our business.

THE POSITION
As Manager - Strategic Partnerships, you’ll be a key client-facing leader focused on identifying, cultivating, and managing strategic partnerships that accelerate business growth and deliver shared value for our clients and Indigenous business partners.
You’ll lead strategic initiatives, manage key accounts, and work closely with Indigenous businesses and industry stakeholders to expand our influence and impact—building real-world economic outcomes for Indigenous Australians.
THE PERSON
You’re a dynamic and highly motivated relationship-builder with a strong background in business development, front-end project management, tender writing, and strategic planning. You’re passionate about meaningful partnerships and have an ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. You thrive in fast-paced, mission-driven environments and bring cultural awareness and emotional intelligence to everything you do.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain high-value partnerships across Defence, Infrastructure, and Corporate sectors.
- Lead strategic engagements and manage a portfolio of key client accounts.
- Develop culturally appropriate engagement strategies with Indigenous communities and businesses.
- Drive opportunity identification and end-to-end project delivery, including unsolicited proposals, tenders, contracts, and business development.
- Use CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage partner information, pipelines, and reporting.
- Provide advisory support to clients on their Reconciliation Action Plans (RAP), Indigenous Procurement and Engagement Plans.
- Represent iDiC at workshops, industry events, and key meetings.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Leadership, Partnerships, Operations) to deliver impactful outcomes.
- Travel interstate for client engagements and events as required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Project Management, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.
- Must be an Australian citizen and either hold or be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a similar strategic partnerships, client management or program delivery role.
- Previous experience in the Defence or Construction industries preferred.
- Experience working with or within Indigenous organisations or communities is highly regarded.

- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and tender responses.
- Culturally competent, with a deep respect for and understanding of Indigenous business engagement.
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
