About the Role
As an Architect at Calderflower, you’ll be working closely with a Project Lead and alongside a supportive team to deliver high-quality architectural outcomes for our clients. You’ll contribute to all phases of project design and delivery, with a strong focus on tender and construction documentation.
This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, with scope to mentor graduates, grow your client-facing experience, and further develop your skills in a collaborative and values-driven environment.
You Will Bring
Qualifications & Registration
A degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
Registered Architect with the NSW Architects Registration Board
Experience
8+ years’ post-registration experience on medium to large-scale projects
Strong documentation and detailing skills, especially for tender and construction phases
Proven experience liaising with clients and coordinating consultants
Experience working under the NSW Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 is highly desirable
Technical Proficiency
ArchiCAD (essential)
Adobe Creative Suite
Microsoft Office Suite
Sector Knowledge
Sound knowledge of the BCA and Australian Standards
Familiarity with aged care and medium-density housing projects is highly preferred
Understanding of consultant scopes, authority approval processes, and project delivery milestones

What You’ll Do
Provide architectural services as part of a project team under the direction of the Project Lead
Oversee documentation and coordinate consultants to ensure quality and efficiency
Mentor and support Graduate Architects within your team
Contribute to business development and client relationships
Stay current with trends, technologies and your CPD requirements
Represent Calderflower at industry events and networking opportunities
