Bring Events to Life With Us

Are you a detail-loving organiser with a passion for smooth-running events and excellent stakeholder relationships?

Communication and Public Relations Australia (CPRA) is looking for a proactive Events & Administration Officer to join our small, friendly, and highly collaborative team in a dynamic part-time role. Perfect for someone looking to balance work and life in a supportive environment.

This hybrid role (3 days in our Pyrmont office and 2 days remote) will see you working on a wide variety of professional events, with hands-on involvement in planning, execution, and communications. You’ll also support our vibrant committee network and help deliver memorable, well-run experiences for our members across the country.

Key Responsibilities

Event Coordination & Delivery

Work with the Marketing and Events Manager to coordinate and deliver a national program of CPRA events.

Support face-to-face events, webinars, and other committee-led activities.

Own the end-to-end planning and execution of smaller events with support.

Sourcing venues, managing catering, and liaising with speakers and sponsors.

Committee & Stakeholder Liaison

Communicate with committee members to support initiatives, meeting logistics, and follow-ups.

Draft communications, coordinate RSVPs, and manage speaker/sponsor correspondence as required.

Administration & Reporting

Maintain event data and manage attendee lists via our CRM and email marketing systems.

Monitor event performance and prepare post-event reports and social posts.

Manage inboxes and phone queries with professionalism and efficiency.

General office admin including payment processing and document prep.

Marketing Support

Assist with EDMs, social media updates, and event collateral.

About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a small team and enjoys taking ownership of their work:

Experience in event logistics, coordination or administration.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle competing deadlines.

A self-starter who works well independently and can take initiative.

Confident with systems like Canva, Mail Chimp and CRMs (or willing to learn).

Flexible, proactive, and people-oriented.

Bonus: exposure to marketing, comms, or stakeholder engagement environments.

Why Join CPRA?

Work with a passionate, mission-driven team that values collaboration and trust.

Hybrid flexibility with a Pyrmont office location and work-from-home options.

National scope and variety in your day-to-day tasks.

Opportunity to grow with a small organisation and make a visible impact.
