About the role
Join Our Team – Community Ranger
Are you passionate about community safety, animal welfare, and local law enforcement? The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a motivated and community-focused Community Ranger to join our dedicated Ranger Services team.
In this diverse and hands-on role, you'll be at the frontline of local law compliance—investigating complaints, enforcing parking regulations, and playing a critical role in animal management. You'll work closely with the community to promote responsible pet ownership, respond to incidents, and assist in the care and handling of animals at our Animal Management Facility.
Duties
Enforcing local laws relating to animal control, parking, and public safety.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to customer service requests and community complaints.
- Assisting in the operation of the City's pound, including the safe handling and transport of animals.
- Conducting patrols and inspections to support compliance.
- Educating the community and promoting awareness of relevant legislation.
Who we are Looking for:
We're seeking an individual with strong interpersonal skills, a genuine interest in community service, and a willingness to learn. Experience in animal handling, local law enforcement, or a similar field is highly desirable. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed in this rewarding role.
