About Us:
At Zyteq, we’re united by a meaningful goal: to help our clients connect with their world and reach their goals through the use of the communication devices and electronic Assistive Technology (AT) we supply.
Our friendly and dedicated operations team is based in Port Melbourne, while our team of passionate AT consultants — including speech pathologists and occupational therapists — work across five states. Together, we support people living with a disability right across Australia by helping them find the technology that best meets their needs.
This role is part of the operations team, which plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly. From the very first client contact through to equipment delivery, training, and ongoing support or repairs, teamwork is at the heart of what we do — and this role is key to ensuring our clients are supported in the best way possible and get the most from their device.
About the Role:
We're looking for a technically-minded, solutions-focused person to join our team in a hands-on support role. In this diverse and rewarding position, you’ll be responsible for setting up and maintaining specialised assistive technology devices for our clients. Your day-to-day will include configuring new equipment, diagnosing issues, coordinating repairs, and providing friendly, practical support to both customers and our team.
You’ll liaise with manufacturers, track and manage software licences, and complete repairs of communication devices. This role also involves a mix of administration, troubleshooting, and customer service—both over the phone and via video calls.
Duties will include:
Configuring new assistive technology devices for customers
Coordinating and administering service and repair processes
Troubleshooting and diagnosing devices to determine if repair is required
Liaising with manufacturers and vendors to resolve technical issues
Managing software licences for trial equipment and complimentary clinical use
Providing customer support, assisting with device setup, use, and troubleshooting
Performing general problem solving and technical support for customers
Supporting the internal team by responding to technical queries and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Melbourne bayside office location. Free security onsite parking is available. There is the ability to structure your hours in a way to allow for a monthly RDO. Office hours are 9am to 5pm Melbourne time.
This role is suitable for new graduates of relevant tertiary or certificate qualifications.
About You:
You're a practical, tech-savvy person who enjoys solving problems and helping others. You’re confident working with hardware and software, and you have a keen eye for detail when it comes to setting up, testing, and maintaining equipment. You're organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks—from troubleshooting and coordinating repairs to providing excellent customer support.
You’re a great communicator, both verbally and in writing, who can work effectively with both customers and suppliers, and you enjoy being part of a collaborative team. Most importantly, you’re motivated by meaningful work and want to help people achieve their goals through the use of assistive technology.
Relevant tertiary or certificate qualification in Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, Health Technology, Biomedicine or Disability Support is preferred.
Experience with conducting troubleshooting or repairs of electronic devices, such as PCs or tablets, to the level of replacing internal boards and components would be highly advantageous.
It’s an essential requirement of this role that you have, or be willing to apply for:
Criminal History Check;
Working with Children Check;
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
You must be able to legally work full-time in Australia. This role is not suitable for a student.
To Apply
Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your interest in this role.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
No agencies please.
