About the role
As the Function Co-Ordinator at Officers Mess', you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless delivery of events and functions for our valued clients. This full-time position is based in our Ballroom Private Event Space in New Farm, QLD, and will see you collaborating closely with the wider hospitality team to create unforgettable experiences.
What you'll be doing
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing all aspects of event planning and coordination from booking confirmation to post-event follow up
Liaise with internal teams, including catering, operations and sales, to ensure the successful execution of events
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive rates and reliable service
Prepare detailed event run sheets and timelines to manage client expectations
Oversee the set-up and pack-down of events, ensuring the venue is presented to the highest standard
Monitor event budgets and identify opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability
Provide exceptional customer service and be responsive to client needs throughout the event lifecycle
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar events or hospitality coordination role
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues and suppliers
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
Proven experience in managing multiple projects and events concurrently
Excellent working knowledge of event planning software and tools
Flexible and adaptable, with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
