The Norman Hotel is looking for an Experienced Prep and Function Chef.

Norman Hotel is a busy steakhouse located in Woolloongabba.

We offer some of Australia's best beef and work closely with some of Australia's best producers to ensure consistent quality and supply.

The position will oversee all prep within the kitchen as well as overseeing all function prep and execution. Hours will predominately be 7.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

During the Christmas period of November & December the work days may change to Tuesday to Saturday depending on function bookings, and you may be required to work Friday and Saturday nights as required.

As part of your role will will be required to complete the below daily tasks at a minimum:

• Opening and set up of kitchen
• Receival of deliveries and stock rotation
• Recording of information, such as deliveries, temp checks, cleaning etc. through the food safety program
• Working with the various sections to assist with prep lists and monitor prep levels as required
• Execution of prep for restaurant menu and functions as required
• Exceptional organisational skills is a must
• Ensuring all function sheets are checked, prepped and ready for service
• Execution and service of functions as required
• Ensuring all ordering of food for functions is passed on to Executive Chef or Head Chef
• Ensuring prep list is completed for next day and communicated with other kitchen staff

The person we require will have a professional attitude and have the ability to work in a team environment with staff of varied skill levels. You must have the ability to work autonomously.
